Not All Hells are Created Equal [Poem]

Wow, what a powerful and relatable piece. I love this- “A biological imperative to drive us toward innovation.”

it is so true, its so difficult for so many of us to just stop and take a breath, to focus on the present moment and be content, so many of us feel that drive to keep moving forward without ever enjoying where we are currently.

And why is it so true that so many artists are also in pain? I wonder if thats what makes are so beautiful, the honesty.

Ugh I love your words, thank you for sharing them with the world.

Thank you @lavender-blurbs!

I think art is a powerful coping mechanism, especially for children who don't necessarily know how to heal or express themselves. I don't know for sure, this is just an idea, but I feel like eventually art and pain becomes intertwined - (Look up Lacan's idea of the 'sinthome' - a sort of indescrible 'knot' that ties together different parts of our psyche, that has grown into the structure of our being.)
