The Day You Left Me

I'd walk this whole wide world, 

wandered romantic paradise here and there,

met the raining men season everywhere,

 but one day I was standing in an awe,

how these beautiful strangers became lovers.

It was a cold night in December,

my gay ears heard you whisper.

You wrote your vow in the sand,

that you will not leave me and break my heart,

but that half-baked gossip turned us apart.

That special gent I met in the dusk, 

that is a Monsieur in Tyne and Wear,

the man in roses I danced in the rain,

they're all just a memory. 

I've journeyed a hundred of places,

and met a different young gentleman,

but this I can tell you,

you're the only one that can make my world seems right.

But you're gone by the first whip of the dust,

so here I am exhausted and sighing all by myself.

I was giving my all to you-these gloomy air have descried, 

hey baby, in return,

you've turned my life a sea of grief. 

My jarred heart is played so give it back to me,

I know you place it beneath your spell!

Heaven is raging above me,

the town we painted is sinking.

You were heartless for leaving me in distress,

but baby, I am hopeful that one day you'll come into my sight,

for you're my world, my life, and my all,

a bucket of tears from my eyes was never ending since the day you went away.
