TRAPPED

in poem •  7 years ago

From morning to night, I was left without any sight,
What was Right, What was Wrong,
It all seemed to become so strong.

As soon as I walked on the street,
My mind would be bombarded,
Without any sign of retreat.

The day’s used to feel so long,
For now, A year felt like a day,
A month like an hour, a day,
Where has it gone?

Trapped.

Soon all feelings were released,
They seemed to be deceased,
From all the lies, all the deceit.

The campaigns that fried my brain,
Created a Prison, where only some would gain,
Which was all part of their game.

The fame created nothing more than shame,
How could they become so lame, Sometimes,
I wish they could all just be tamed.

Trapped.

Now my mind has become trapped,
Like a magician putting a rabbit into a hat,
Blinded from the truth, it is no longer any use,
I’ve got to find another view.

For the bars in this prison are nowhere to be seen,
I often wonder if this life was lost like rain,
That fell onto a windscreen,
Wiped away, each drop that fell,
Each drop, was cast under this spell.

For now life has become a living form of hell,
Where the inhabitants have created a maze,
Almost like a daze, like we are living in a well.

Trapped
