Inter-Sanctum Play

The year is 2089….

And the world is no longer what it used to be.

The government of old, one can rarely find.

Unless you’re in a safe zone

Your life is filled with uncertainties

And the quality of life and dreams of the future

Is often an illusion filled with topsy-turvy fantasies and conclusions.

Once a month for 7 days,

There is a game that is played
Hundreds join hoping to live their dreams
But first
They must win. And if they lose
They may be banished to the wilderness White Zone
And who knows what will become of them then.

Those who play

Must be above and beyond all who compete
This is a journey you must walk alone
If you want to make it to the Inner Sanctum In The Black Zone.

Having skillz is your only guarantee that you will survive.

So if you choose to play,

Then be willing to lyrically sleigh
Whoever stands in your way.

The pressure of it all can be your test

But you’ve got to be strong enough to roll with it
Adopt the Mantra of the Violet Zone, “Only in myself do I Trust.”

It has been known to drive insane the very best of us.
The key is to stay focused on what you will gain
So if you want to advance to the Black Zone
You better damn sure bring the rain.

I will be waiting. I think I have the weapons to fight me way to the black zone and beyond if need be. 😂

Intriguing and intense concept. What if there was also an element of cooperation required amongst all of the I-only-can succeed challenges?

Now that sounds intriguing, but I don't understand, tell me more. Also know that I am excited about this because it will be a short story as well. This post is only the game part of that story that will be brought to life in an interactive way so we can play. Between tonight and tomorrow I will be posting the first chapter of the crypto fiction dystopia and it will explain all of the different zones and who lives in each. After that I will post game play 1. Each month the game will be played.

That IS an exciting concept! I love the idea of playing the story. Will the direction of play generate each chapter's story and/or direction? My 2 cents simply had to do with my quest as an educator to develop a sense of unity and community, even while setting individual goals amidst friendly competition.

Thank you @eyedreemit, I am so glad you can share my excitement and enthusiasm for this concept. To answer your question it's actually the opposite. The story will generate the direction for gameplay.
I am somewhat honing in on and fostering the mindset of a gamer/poet.
I have chosen to do world buildings plus storytelling in the genre of a dystopia to help all who play the game to have the clarity they need. The more we understand the terrain, the fictional historical timeline and the scenarios that we as human beings could be faced with when our world suddenly and drastically change.

We will discover through it all we could be, those that will comply with the rules or the conformist, the spin doctors or are we apart of the system that wants to keep the unfortunate ones under thumb at any cost and by any means necessary?

The story and the game will present us with the mirror of seeing ourselves and who we under excruciating circumstances who we will choose to be. And with all that said I do see how we could add another layer of a sense of unity and community worth your ideas and help. Maybe you could serve as a liaison Mayor between the Violet Zone (Where the Poets Artist and Creatives live) and the Black Zone,)

I'm starting to grasp your beautiful vision. My education career already has me serving as the liason Mayor between the Violet Zone (Where the Poets Artist and Creatives live) and the Black Zone...I just never had such a cool title to fit the description. I'm seriously considering printing biz cards, regardless of how outdated they are!
