"Good old Days"

Shoes with shoelaces, High ponytails, and pinafore,
Schoolbag was heavy, but it was not a bore.

Waking up was pain, dressing up was hard work,
Breakfast was a must, mom never forgets the yolk.

Late for assembly, all were singing the anthem song,
Clueless, so I just stood from afar and sang along.

Homework, I do them while the teachers collect,
As fast as lightning, still all are correct.

Feels powerful, being the class “chief”,
Tracks covered, they wonder “who’s the mischief?”.

Good old days, that’s all for now,
It is time, to take a bow.

#Don't we all want to be kids again?
