Everything Ends

in poem •  7 years ago

The sunny smiles you've shown
The bullet bites you did
They made me blast
They made me bold
But with a single firebolt
You called a day
And used to have a Punic faith
You hit the road
And then vanished
I clammed up
And my whole nine yards crumbled
I never fathomed
You never left a cause
Nor utter a word
Myself under my thumb
The ball is in my court
I have to bite this bullet
And grasp this nettle
Show to you
There's no cold hell
Nor burning Zion
If you cheated
You were my love
But not a loss
Not anymore
I shoke a leg
I moved forward
I survived
And I tend to realise
Every cloud has a silver
And everything has an end
