The Rattle

in poem •  7 years ago

Rattle rattle, does the cage.
Rattle rattle.
Is it a shiver employed, like the chicken in the cage?
Or a shout trying to imitate, making blind sense
Dependent on weakness for opposed strength,
Being defined by the ears of the listener
Margin between the sea and sky
Never seems to meet the eye
But the divide
The divide, creates the saperate sides.
So why is it that the divide
Is praised for by the rattle's smile?
Not knowing that the rattle too was the ear, to define.
