Patience is a virtue

in poem •  7 years ago  (edited)

I told her I love her but she was unresponsive
I laid my heart on the table but she was non comprehensive
I wondered why she stood there so indifferent
I wondered if this trade could be inherent.

Is her mother this cold?
Has she ever been told
That she is beautiful and loved?
Or has her soul been sold?

What do I do then with her standing in front of me?
Do I leave her there and let her be?
That I cannot do for it is uncharacteristic
But at the same time I have to be realistic.

I can't be with her that is clear to see
But yet I love her; why can't we be?
I am saddened, feel emotional
Although love is strong right now it's irrational.

We cannot be; we are two different
But if we were to be it would be magnificent
Feeling upset getting belligerent
She finally moves and makes a sound
“I've been waiting for such passion that in you I have found”

Love is always worth waiting for.

It is the most precious element of life that we should cherrish.

It's the most important and precious element of life.

It is so important you needed to say it twice!

Yes it is!... Actually it's bandwidth issue lol. It made it seem as if the message wasn't sent.

Loving someone who doesn't love you back is extremely painful. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Yes you're right. You can't force love. But this poem is actually the opposite of that.
