One common enemy
They killed his family
A young man of twenty four
Life will never be like once before
No option but to flee
To another man's country
In hopes he'll now be free
To live his life a little more easy
Well the pain isn't history
It is far from easy
Placed under tight scrutiny
His life is just as scary
The man who freed his wrists
Thinks he's a terrorist
Though wrong he has not done
Never even owned a gun
He was gonna be a doctor
He was a very good singer
Now he's left lonely and depressed
His life has become such a mess
Filled with such anxiety
Or is it just PTSD?
Yet still he kept his sanity
Just hopes one day to be happy
The land of the free they say
Listen to me if you may
He may have a heart of gold
One desire, to grow old
Without the scares
Without the tears
Please get to know your fellow migrants
Without judging or selfish rants
Do it for humanity
Find a bit of empathy
Treat them like family
Have a little sympathy
Cause in the end...
You may have a new best friend
Trust me it's all worth it
He'll be forever thankfull for it!
