The Castle - fresh contemporary poem by me

Castle

The Castle

The night was crawling
Through the dark alley
The junkies in the corner slept in their lucid dreams
To me it meant nothing

I came to see what was left
After ages of desperate
Fight to rise up
What should have meant
Something better

Look around
Sitting on stone ruins
Building digital waste
Electric pills into your veins

Just laughing now, the castle is there
Locked in the blockchain
Forever
