Just Remind Me

in poem •  7 years ago  (edited)

Yes, I will — just remind me

Just remind me each time I seem to forget,

And I got my head buried in the clouds,

No, don’t let it down — I mean the tears,

Just remind me, please lady don’t regret.

I can’t really say exactly how I crawled in,

Can’t explain clearly how you feel within,

I see your smile still in my cold dreams,

Hear it loud and clear  —  how your heart beats,

That’s why I wrote this poem  —  To serve as a lullaby; cuddling you to bed,

And a quick reminder whenever  —  I go hard and bad.

Just remind me.

Even before it happens  —  Angel, I know you were happy,

You dreamt of days you look forward to seeing me fly,

Wearing a cute smile each time you look deep into the sky,

Lovely kisses I’ll receive each time I stop by.

I know not  —  what the morrow holds,

I just have to say this now; Whenever I start making you frown,

In your own tears, I get you drown,

And start over doing things, Not minding if they hurt your feelings,

Just remind me.

Yes, I will — a new leaf I’ll turn,

To re-right all my wrongs  —  several miles I’ll run,

Do what it takes to remind me,

And will be back to the real me,

This I promise, just remind me,

Just remind me  —  In case I forget,

Please lady don’t regret.
