Rain And Thunder

in poem •  7 years ago

Two
dark clouds
collide head-on;
breaking into streaks
of white light, illuminating
the night sky briefly, before
a quick follow through by
resounding thunder

As
people ran
helter skelter
looking for cover

Drops of rain
like teardrops fell
on people's head and
shoulders as a cold
wind swept the streets
below

Everything
gets washed out
in the falling rain, only
a few memories remain

And
in a pool of
accumulated
rain water, I see
myself without
remorse or pain

When you
do not know
where your next
moment is coming from
You know the Gods haven't
called your name yet
