In the beginning of May
Chestnuts bloomed around
Not casual, comrade
Not casual, my friend
After all, on the calendar
It is worth the red date
Victory Day
May 9, salute
Chestnuts have blossomed
Recalling the important
On the Second World War
About the dead soldiers
After all, it could not be
These wonderful chestnuts
And I probably would not go here
Enjoying beautiful scenery
But chestnuts are growing
Covering us with green leaves
As if hiding from terrible enemies.
From all troubles and ailment
And you go to the grave of a soldier
Tulips in hand and balloons in children
And the veteran is tired, from life, from old age
Hardly goes to remember the rest
