Solace

in poems •  7 years ago

Lonely as a child
With all the books on the shelf
I kept to myself
And my feelings piled

I became my best friend
With no one to talk to
In depression i grew
And learnt to pretend

I masked everything
Putting up a facade
I'm happy, I would sing
Yet so sad with all that zing

Then I saw you
And as our eyes met
In that moment I knew;
That it was all set

Seeing deep into me
Your smile captivated my soul
You knew I was devoid of glee
And vowed to make me whole

With you I'm truly happy
I don't have to feign it
As you get me completely
And in you I've found SolaceIMAG0404.jpg
