The fairest

in poems •  7 years ago

Colorful petals
Green leaves
Fragrance, that of the sea
Calming
On hitting the nostrils,
Whispers of its beauty
Seizing the air
As it sways from side to side
Spewing of magnanimity
Right from bud to bloom,
But anther falls
Fresh fruit gives, inside,
From its ovary
Emerges an era
A new journey
Ending someday for another,
Tired, it becomes
Withering away, it dies.
