If and when I die, which I will...

Have a party.
Spread my ashes far and wide.
Into the raging sea and into the desert sky
when you feel like you can taste the moon and the stillness makes you cry
Do not give me a funeral
Dance. Laugh. Cry. Recite. Paint. Love. Realize.
Pray with tobacco and cedar.
Call people and tell them how much you love them.
Take all of my things, my dearest friends…and make art out of them.
Love my children.
God, grant me the serenity to surrender that which I need not hold
the courage to rise up again
and the wisdom to love more than I did the day before…
