If mothers are the light of the household I do think that fathers are the shadows.

It may sound negative for you when I say that they are shadows. Since shadows are related to darkness and most of us hate the dark. But please allow me to share what I think is the reason why they are shadows.

They are shadows because what they usually do is follow and observe you closely in secret. Without you even knowing or sometimes you do. If in case that you are familiar with One Piece anime a certain episode wherein the Straw Hat Crew's shadow were stolen after they got hit with direct sunlight they vaporize. That is the same concept as fathers they can make or break a child depending on how they raised them not by vaporizing them but on how they will become someday.

Let's talk about role-playing game. Mothers are the support and Fathers are the tank.

Some may say, that in-game tanks are useless but please allow to me share why they are also important.

Tanks have high defense and hit points. Fathers are like that, they are the one who will be defending you, they are the ones who will be shielding you from harm, harm on this life may bring. Not with the heavy armor or shield but with their words and actions that sometimes we may not understand.

A mother's hug can give you warmth and also a calming effect for some reason. Maybe because we were once a part of her for 9 months? But a father's hug can give you security, an assurance that you will be safe.

A mother will always be connected to their child but fathers are not. They are detached from us at birth. Imagine how hard it is for them because they will start from scratch a total stranger until you and I learn to build a relationship with them through conversing with us and being a companion. Fathers need to do that, to gain their our trust and I think that is truly remarkable for them.

And lastly, I can't speak that all fathers are great as I have mentioned here cause in reality there are some who hurt and still hurting children.
But at least I am able to share something that there are fathers who are like that. Someone that will be watching you, observing you, shielding you but most of all will be loving you till his last breath.
