“Rain on the Window” A December Sonnet

in poetry-sonnet •  6 years ago  (edited)

Morning 12-1-18.jpg

Day has dawned, all gray and drear;
Raindrops spatter the glass.
The 1st of December is here,
The rain and sadness will pass.

Momentous Events have come and gone,
Unconnected they are, but seem to not be so.
Often historic events together come along,
Our bliss into chaos they tend to throw.

Let not the rain, nor events your feelings feuding,
Change you from your path.
Your vision of the world must not be skewing;
We view through a glass, darkly, it is not rocket math.

Take each day as you find it; Take the good with the bad.
December brings burdens with it, Try not to let it make you SADD.

Thanks. My first one too. I had a devil of a time finding a way to get it here though

Oh I bet, I have that problem with Apple gifs. Which did you use?

I have this video editing software called Wonder Share Filmora.
It has lots of features, many of which I have either not explored
Yet, or find no use for, but it allows you to save in many different
Formats; .MOV, .mp4 and .gif being three of them.
Once I had the clip saved as a gif, I don't remember
Where I put it to be hosted so I then had a URL I could use here
In Steemit or Weku or FB.
I'll have to keep trying so I can write it all down.
Thanks @coquiunlimited.

I think I remember that I posted it on Giphy, then that site generated a link for me to use here @coquiunlimited.
