stories for teeth

in poetry •  7 years ago  (edited)

don’t make an enemy of time

like the countdown

deposed of western seam’d sun

dispose your fears

in a greedy glass of blue and sea foam.

we see the golden grass hue

when it’s nearing winter

messages caught in a half-dead tangle

a hand-folded envelope

tragic and beautiful

as these short 70 years or so
