SELF RESPECT FOR A BLACK WOMAN

in poetry •  7 years ago

Resonating echoes of twinge
Around the stomach and the pelvic region
Thundering loud screams
And give away moans
Yet she still stay strong
Pushing with all her strength
She can bare this curse
Knowing her strength lies in her blackness
She needs a touch
A holding comfort
Around her pelvic region
Her water is broken
She lies there struggling
She pushes harder
For she feels a shape is coming
The head can be viewed
For a new black life have arrived
...dedicated to the female gender
