ADSactly Poetry - Lucid Lyrics Designed to Expand Minds (Part 6)

Hello Steemians! The ADSactly Poetry : Lucid Lyrics Designed to Expand Minds series is designed to be a sort of platform for sharing some of my greatest works with @adsactly readers.

Many of the verses I've shared and continue to share were written in collaboration with a friend of mine. Others were written as solo projects and some made their way to the recording booth. I find that collaboration brings many benefits most of which revolve around having someone to bounce ideas off of and sort of be challenged to pick up where the other has left off.

I've got another special piece for @adsactly readers today, a full fledged song I wrote for a solo project. I think it has a bunch of really cool concepts readers will cot.

Enjoy!

A Jazz Hit

Chorus

Ya know it’s a jazz hit on a jazz tip.

Some of those old hits were the baddest.

They had sax the trombone and a bit of that magic.

An ya knew it when ya heard it just for what it was.

It was a jazz hit on a jazz tip.

Verse

Cause what we want in life can be made by design...

So read between the lines of this rhyme and you will find that anythings possible...

And in due time... What you want will be yours...

It was just a subtle change in perspective and attitude a change in course which positively...

Could put us on a new tangent...

Hurts too deep hence the hesitation and reluctance to try to comprehend

For far too long we have chosen to deny...

Are we livin a life? Or are we livin a lie?

In a persuit of paradise all we have are paradoxes...

Inspect the motives of why OJ Simpson got Johnny boy Cockrin to represent em...

All of us may be guilty or just refuse to believe it...

I’m so sorry your honor I just don’t agree with the verdict.

And it went down as the gavel hit and the consquences of our actions that laid beneath it...

They say we’re guilty til proven innocent and born in the land of the free or we’re too ignorant to see still choose to believe born a slave into something we never could see...

But would you ever be compelled to help someone else?

In their time of darkness and misery.

There may be hope for us yet with an idea like that!

And believe me its doing a world a good for a world that so desperately needs it...

In our time of need we’ll look around and see who stuck around there may be regrets that abound but maybe not guess it all depends on how it goes down...

Chorus

Ya know it’s a jazz hit on a jazz tip.

Some of those old hits were the baddest.

They had sax the trombone and a bit of that magic.

An ya knew it when ya heard it just for what it was.

It was a jazz hit on a jazz tip.

Final Thoughts on 'Jazz Hit'

I really enjoyed writing this song and feel like it stands the test of time and holds a lot of merit.

This part right here:

But would you ever be compelled to help someone else?

In their time of darkness and misery.

There may be hope for us yet with an idea like that!

I think its pretty powerful and sends a sort of subliminal message I feel proud to deliver. This song was written in a stream of consciousness so I apologize if it isn't 100pct coherent. Some verses stay razor sharp on point and others seem to go on tangents.

In regard to Jazz Hit, this was a short song I wrote and performed in a small solo project. I'd very much like to know your thoughts and feelings about this verse so if you liked it or didn't like it, I'd love to hear your opinion either way!
