Red Light

I’ve seen this coming long ago
But still and still I hoped
For the green light to show
Yet, it was all worthless
Could it be worse?

Doors have been knocking ever since
I sat, expecting for signs to open it
But still I grew impatient
“It is useless”, so I thought
Could it be worse?

A friend has been telling that
You don’t need signs to show up
You work the signs yourself
Yet, it was all pointless
Could it be worse?
Now doors have stopped knocking
For another person has opened it
Well, if I knew you’ll be waiting
I could’ve opened it
Could it be worse?

Maybe it was my fault
For not taking the risk of opening the door
For thinking that you’ll always be knocking there
Yet, in the end, it was all senseless
It became worse

Maybe it was your fault at all
For building the door itself
For not thinking that it was a wrong house
And only for you to play around it
Yes, maybe you’re worse

Now I’m taking all the hinges around it
It might take time but I will work for it
Every nail, every screw you’ve attached
Though it will only leave holes
Anyway, it still is worse

It was expected from start
That the green light will never shine on me
So it hurts lesser than I could’ve anticipated.
The red light’s now up
It’s time for me to stop.

I know this poem is very weird XD I wrote this poem when I felt weird. Yea by weird, I mean broken hahahahahaha. Thanks for reading and for stopping by :)
