Our Last Car Ride (original poem)

in poetry •  8 years ago

It was missed
We missed the exit
Ihhhh missed the exit
But you knew it all along
And you said your same song
Beautiful harlots am I.

It is I it is I
Who is to blame
And you're right.
I'm insane to stay with you.
It's my fault.
And that fault has been broken

Drink the wave of our
Collective disclosure
As the mutually consented
Distance grows
If you meet me at my door
I'll kill you without hesitation
Blood in your eyes
Is followed with mine
And our children are our battleground.

Feel the crash of revelation
Dashing our collaboration
Into small tiny indecipherable
Glances of self hatred with oneself.

The pain is not merely
Reverential
Reverend put it well:
Hell on earth.

So I ask you let me be
Including my children
For you see
Their souls are in the balance
Of your maturity
But enough of this disastrous crash
I've gotta dash
To the heaven I'm creating.

I'm not needed anymore
and I knew that from the start
you are so grown up
and I'm but a little boy

but don't say it wasn't fun
and maybe fun is all that is
and maybe that's what I learned from hanging with your kids

Make sure your heaven isn't too boring;)
