Basics of yesterday - A poem of how technology has changed the world

Before, the world was still at its basic
With no words such as "cover photo and profile pic"
Do you remember those times?
Or you have been blinded by modernization's mimes.

When web was still a home weaved by a spider
And virus was still a causative agent of disease than can be passed from one to another
When blackberry, cherry, and apple were still delectable fruits
And galaxy was still consists of billions of stars, winking and travelling towards one route.

When mouse was still a mischievous, naughty rat
That would run mountains just not to be caught by a silly cat
When Trojan Horse was still not a virus invented by villainous geeks
But a wooden statue of horse used by Greeks.

When copy was still done using pen and paper
Not with a "click" using our finger
When paste was still done with glue that's adhesive
And cut's done with scissors sharpened

Those were unembellished pasts
That are considered as the basics of yesterday.
