Spread Your Wings and Fly But Never Forget Your Mother

Take your time and grow slowly
As time passes by so quickly.
Chuckle, run, hide, eat and play!
You deserve to be happy.

Slowly slowly your little fingers will grow hasty,
Like how you supersede the dining table so quickly.
Your smooth thin hairs now grow so lovely,
"Look Mommy! I’m a teen already!"

Now, you’re focusing on your studies,
Having friends to give you company.
You no longer come if I buy grocery.
Oh How I miss those times when you cry just to come with me!

Now you’ve grown up and no longer needs me,
And I am proud of who you are today.
Then you asked, “Can you still hug and kiss me?”
"Oh my child! I need you more than me!"
