Slumber

in poetry •  5 years ago  (edited)

Lonely was their souls who wandered the dark
Cold it was in their sight, the tears of fire
In the winds, they once drew with colors of faith
Only time had them ticking

Their dreams had colored their way until the sun had set
False was their slumber in which their eyes turned red
Unawakened to the light of day

Beautiful was their stories
Yet by the word, it was short

No longer had they the time for the other
Yet only in time, was it real to themselves
