POEM / BREAK WITH TRADITIONsteemCreated with Sketch.

in poetry •  7 years ago

I have over some years of my working experience cogitate and subject myself in pensive mood ruminating why people find it difficult to ostracize themselves from precedent. Their ever recursive recrimination has been "that is how it has been done". I detest such malodorous byline.

That is how it is done,
Even if it is half-done,
Stuck in their warped groove,
Without anything to prove.

Unwilling to mild changes,
Even if the changes will last for ages,
Stuck they have in their warped groove,
Without anything to prove.

Conservative and boring,
Myopic, superannuated and uninteresting,
Stuck they have in their warped groove,
We strive but nothing to prove.

Break we should from tradition,
Tradition perpetuated without opinion,
That is how it is done,
Even if has always been half-done.

Radicalism is the virtue of changes,
Imbue in puerile generation for tough changes,
My views from them never in tandem,
Despite the suppressive instinct high in them

Never allow yourself to be muffled and muzzled by traditional and conservative impulse. Question every decision doled out to you. That is the genesis of your mental and physical liberation from the penitentiary of "that is how it is done".
