Spring Equionox - Poem from Brighton, UK

in poetry •  7 years ago

Its spring
and i can hear a whimper
yellow lights appear on weary stones
aching for breath
tonight, when its orange
then red,
then blue,
the sea will take with it
the city's exhale.
relief immersed in the cruel dust of winters' remains.
aching to breathe
the shore cleans the beach
like vodka cleans a caravan table
