The Journey

in poetry •  7 years ago

At birth, baby laughs, mother cries
The journey of the little thingy creature begins
Is this the right address? The baby pries
Early to answer despite diggings

Well-wishers keep lauding
Freedom to be free like a bird I yearn
Not walking or running is a burden
Their communication i'm eager to learn

The white bones in their mouth i admire
Alas! The interestingly boring fact
Time melted out my desire
With myself I signed a peace pact

After the truth was discovered
That even birds were once nested.
