we keep our eyes shut
shut as we sleep to block out the light
shut, closed, and locked to watch dreams at night
we keep our eyes shut
but do not keep them shut too long!
eyes wide shut lead one to wander
as dreams hither, thither pass
leaving us to ponder:
what have I not seen?
what have I let run by?
what have I missed?
open your eyes
open to see
to see is to believe, seeing is truth
see opportunity
see danger
see love
see life
open eyes are not for seeing dreams
open eyes are for living them
