A Memory of You
Your eyes used to gleam, a spark lit within,
Your arms wrapped around me, the softest skin.
My heart remembers it all, baring each memory,
Of a time when you were here with me.
Your scent lingers within, setting me free,
A memory of your voice, a soft slow melody.
Your breath, your eyes, a window to my soul,
Breaking me slowly, with every pull.
The memories like a plague, never giving rest,
My heart, my soul, given the ultimate test.
I long to have you here, giving me warmth,
But for now my love, I go forth.
