Mend Me Even If That's All You Do

in poetry •  7 years ago  (edited)

If you were the clouds and I was the rain, would you hold me in?
If you were a saint and I was a sin, could you save me then?
Everyone else has let me fall, drown, break, cringe.
You have saved my bastard soul.
I'm on a love binge.
If I could pour your love into a spoon,
Into a syringe,
Into my veins,
Leaving behind blood stains,
At least I would have you.
Pull me in, I bid ado..
Mend me, my love,
Even if that's all you do.
