Welcome to Echoes, a compilation of Poems. This one goes by the name, Our Destination. I as an author, had these thoughts running while penning it down. However you (readers) can interpret it in your own way.

This poem’s mood could be described as realistic as it speaks about the different hurdles, one has to cross in order to reach the set destination. This poem was written remembering every little things my then Fiancée now Husband, and Myself went through before taking the wedding vows and tying the solemn knot.

Quoting from WHEN HARRY MET SALLY-

When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.

Our was a similar case. Ours being an arranged set up, we did had to go through our own set of knick-knacks. It went through lil highs and lows till we bounced back together to made it work. And hell yeah, we did do a great job.
This poem speaks about how gracefully we outweighed every single obstacle, till we reached, our set destination.
Gawd!!! All i can now say, everything we went through.. it was worth it.. Every single bit of it.

Taking a sharp bend
We simply headed
Unknown to ourselves
The destination.

Stony Path, Crooked Lanes
Muddy potholes and a steep slope
A hillside climb, a narrow valley
Then water, as far as one could see.
Only barriers to overcome.

With sleeplessness and rugged thoughts
We headed
Unknown to ourselves
The destination.

Being so uncertain
About what lay ahead
We crossed
The hill the valley and then the sea.

Conquering all barriers
We finally made it to the plains..
The plains of harvest
Happiness, love
and Immense bliss

Above all we had reached
Our destination,
A happy life.
