You are about to enter into the coastal town and capital of the parish of Hanover, this place tells about how important is the role of farmer
In eighteenth century this town was capital and main city of Hanover, stood strongly as banana exporter
Lucea is the home of the Lucea yam, it's herbaceous form
Lucea yam exported to feed Jamaicans working abroad, this thought is very broad.

In nineteenth century The Barracks was built, to provide shelter to the soldiers stationed there, history keeps us aware
In early twentieth century The Barracks became the educational center for the town and then Rusea's High School complex, path of development is also complex
The parish has Waterfalls, Coves and Caves, Davis Cove, named after a prominent Hanover family, for some generations it's a forever memory
Lucea clock tower was built before more than two century, it deserves a documentary.

Lucia is famous for historical sites, history spreads it's own lights
It is said that there is a tunnel which was a safe haven in time of war, stories regarding unground tunnels are many more
The Hanover Museum sits on the site of a prison, but history and stories never changes it's position
Most people are from African descent, yes, it represent.

One of the staples of Lucea is the breadfruit, farming is foundational root
To Lucea, tourism demands and agricultural communities provides economic growth, growth is driven by the combination of both
Lucea lies between Negril and Montego Bay, Lucea as tourist destination, these words are on hold and yet to say
If you are travelling to Jamaica to explore and see, then one option is Lucea.
