My confidant

As sweet as a flower they said...
As charming as a bird they smiled...
As beautiful as a dove they laughed...

You wore the mask so well.
Cause no one knows the face behind it
That girl who just wanted to be free.
That girl who just wanted to be understood.
To make them proud.
The one who just wanted to wear the crown but didn't want the burden that came with it.
Too much expectations.
Expectations she feared she couldn't keep.
A talent so lovely she hid behind a black book.
That book bore her words.
The thoughts she had.
The feelings she couldn't express.
The fear she couldn't admit.

She was a true beauty none like her.
But the world had filled her with hate.
The glare had stole her confidence.
Betrayal had stole her trust.
Lies had stole her truth.
Fear had stole her passion.

A true beauty in adversity.
A masterpiece in my life.
A meeting by chance.
A sense of a common ground.
Led to a friendship of a life time..
A friendship engraved in my heart.
One never to be forgotten
