Original poetry - 'Melting'

in poetry •  7 years ago  (edited)

She stepped with cold toes on your frozen chest
and in their blueness,
they warmed you.
Tears rose like snowdrops from all of your pores
as she plucked them with a curled tongue.

You curled under her touch
and wings grew out from beneath the layers
of ancient ice.
