BAOBABS

in poetry •  7 years ago

The longness in her life is my wish, images.jpg
My dear baobab,
grows tall and thick,
Growing lads love your seeds,
while crawling skirts propose to your shape.

Dear baobab ;
You are specially shaped,
you and your chaperonic fonts,
enveloped in the bark of acumen.
Understandings sail you
to Madagascar, your broadness holds the home.
A seed of yours mend the scattered heart of a tethered brogue.

Dear baobab ;
Thick and wide, house me and
I shall *tọ́jú you, your seeds and your xylem
will never suffer.

Oooh Baobab, thick and warm,
I wouldn't mind being under your shield till
my whistle falls .
And Madagascar?
I will trek, run and fly to crave
my missing half,
oh baobab of life!
