Into what abhorrent fathomage which
Seem our bait to gormandize?
Which, nothing capturing,
Turn ragged and gaunt,
Divested of a lure?

Dwelling somewhence beneath what
Waves, who holds soul substenance
Tantalizing & mythical:
Near-violence of faith-drenched
Fervor, that our hook may sink
As anchors of adamant into
Something sturdy, some ichthys
Of fate and heft and tenor,
Which could satisfy if even
For a moment most evanescent
Our urge for meaning & truth.

I felt this poem to be an observance on the difficulty in plumbing the depths of this Steemit ocean for something that nourishes the mind, soul or both.

Beautiful pictures...you always seem to have such wonderful and unique pictures that are impressive. I guess we are all like the fishermen, seeking, waiting and pulling up nothing, hoping for a bit or nibble. If we are patient, we may catch a big one! :D
