Winter

Hey guys

Its winter at home, South Africa / Randburg.

During this time i'm always a little somber and blue.
Although this season makes me incredibly creative it also makes me incredibly lazy.

We are summer people, we love being in the sun, being outside, being in shorts and t-shirts, braaing, kids playing in the pools, or playing sports.

Being inside the house the whole day we tend to work on everyone's nerves.

here's a little poem I wrote for the winter, if winter was a character.

Young Winter

Winter carried in his hand
The broken glass once beautiful shaped
Pumped pleasures plundering and paper red
The disavowed summer once poured down for

The snow colour-blind the footprint
When the wind blows the tide
Into wrong direction
The map ambiguous dope dies
When the summer clouds left the skylight

Winter backward to blunder about
Stumbles between autumn and spring
They bend the burden of bitter remedy
(Shakespare on paper and broken verse)
When winter is shuffled back into the clouds again.

By Deon Eben van Der Merwe.
