Guardians | Who secure our life scheme

On besotting concerns of our clan
Our feudal masters fending for us conscientiously
They are endowed with the foresight to foresee what the future holds

They subject us to their style
Priding minors among us
To tailor their orders
And deliver their booties
For us to have a fair share of
The fiefdom largesse

How do you adjudicate the matter?
Herdsmen safeguarding the farmer's barn
Positioning their cattle at door posts
Against the irritant goats

In matters of our security
Leopards deploying cats
To scare away mouses
Lest they pilfer from the kitchen

And monkey assigning baboons
At the entry points to our farms
In their bid to keep watch
Over Marauding termites
Only the ingrate would not oblige your orders
Compassionate guardians of the kingdom

Who would not salute you for your condescension
Our nobles being bemused by your piety
They would not want to offend you
But to continually don their caps
For the lords of the harvest

Who secures our life scheme?
Tigers or leopards?
Cannibals hounding goats and gazelles into their belles

When we begrudge the rationale for their favourites
Our heart pulsation echoing aloud
They insist their choices are domestic servants
Delicacies of the home grown
A case of sending the proverbial child of fire to the mother
Fire
As crude as the unfashionable apartheid

The bottomline is who is there to secure our life, is it herdsmen? Is it Tiger? Is it Leopard? Is it monkey or Baboons? Ask yourself the question too
