BILLBOARD
The rules are
obvious
laid out
in all caps
on billboard-sized
paper
But sometimes
I forget how to read
the words turn into
blotches that even
Rorschach himself
cannot decipher
To my own
demise
the evil
within
permeates
my sympathetic
system
Making me
simple and
pathetic
and unworthy
despite the
accolades
from strangers
Who do not
know
the man
typing these
lonely words

Great poem. I always like your poetry. Up voted it. You writing does seem rear view and sad at times but that is NOT a bad thing. It pulls emotion and that is a good thing. I have read a few of your poems that draw a sad emotion as well as happiness. There was one that I read about childhood that I really liked. It pulled out all sorts of emotions. Just know that they are being felt.

That part made me think of something that I am working on right now. I don't write poetry but I am laying something out to be deciphered. Can you read the blog below and tell me what you think? It may not be your thing. Don't be afraid to be critical of me. I enjoy constructive criticism. I usually do more comedy and strange facts but I had to give a hint into the future because many people have been misunderstanding my name. That was the plan from the beginning though. Didn't want to let the secret out yet but I did because some people are taking offense to my name.

Aside from your "Rear-view Mirror Poem" which you have posted recently all other poems seems to be dark. Are you going through something or is it just your writing style?

Just my style I guess, self-exploration...I'm actually a very happy person! I've always been interested in how we tick and the power of knowing the right thing to do and choosing the other @harlot. I think if you look back far enough you may find a couple "happy" or "positive" poems but you're right - they're scarce!
