COURAGE

Anticipation hurts
kidnap the old man
and break
the hands of time
waiting can be as painful
as the result
diamonds cut
roses have thorns
and candlelight burns

Instinct kills regret
put stone to blade
and tear the seal of fate
exposing your wounds
to saltwater

Sinking under depths
of water
so blue
that the sun shines black
trust your gut feeling
confidence is your oxygen
you will not die

The challenge is not
to climb the mountain
or swim the ocean
nor is it to blindly accept
the opinions of the world

It is
to swallow failure with pride
to learn from every new day
and
to believe with intense passion
in
yourself
