UNTOLD

The colours
are vowels
silent
the consonants
speak for them
with meaning
missing

The shades
black and grey
represent
the person
you want
to contact
who
cannot
speak back

They hear
and decide
not to tell
the
secrets
that
make all the
difference

Beautiful poetry, @doghaus your words has become a Daily Dose to my heart. Well-done, your write up is always impactful

Thank you @millerkay for your kind words and continued support. Hope 2018 is the best year of your life so far!

I liked this one. It was quite simple to comprehend. First saying that consonants hold all the meaning, and then compare that to the secrets being like those consonants. The people cannot speak back, so the secret is safe as the vowels are repeated without substance.

Unrelated to the poem, did you know that our brain assumes that the top picture is 'brighter' than the bottom half? Something I learnt recently, related to the attention part of our brain being on the right-side, therefore attending more to the left side. Over-simplifying and totally unrelated topic, but I love this fact haha.

Exactly @poetrybyjeremy, sometimes keeping it simple is best (but not easy to do). I din't know but did think the top was brighter - now I know why! I love learning - just don't test me on it.

Thank you @awanawan

Excellent post.....

Thank you @sanderlla!

I love a good poem that has a perfect title. :)

Thank you @jzen, sometimes the titles come first and other times after I write. This one came after.

...I had one piece that I wrote that I didn't find the title for 20 years...LOL... I've never been good with titles. :)

Haha...I guess that one was called "Untitled" @jzen!
