Gone are those days when friends were related
When they could share the littlest piece of tears
When they would laugh and cry together and finally fall asleep under the couch
They were scolded but yet their friendship was never cut off
They would fight over a girl and finally let her go because they cherished their friendship

But these days
Friends are hard to find
The ones who would dare to tell you the truth were the enemies who dared you into a fight
They would tell you how much they loved you but then when you stumble they just push you aside
They are never ready for the troubles but have their clothes ironed for the best selfies

But then in that lonely heart that you despise
There's a friend so true
Who is always ready to listen and not judge
You never realize they are there because you are too busy
They give you the best gift like a colouring and don't remember they did
They are just in one corner ready to put their hands under your head
They are naturalist and don't care if you are the craziest being
Friends are the best gift
