Poem - A beautiful Waterfall

Like ancient love, you come to me, true and pure
Giving up your high places to walk my lowly world,
Like dawns, you bring me light; you give me new days

You redeem me in living water, like a flood to the well
You seed and fruit my barren heart, your love is wet
Like full oceans, you pour to drown me in volumes

Bathed in deep places, you sink me to halfway below
My feet fails, but my eyes float above wind and wave
To gaze at your energies, to behold and wander home

Here in a wide embrace where love is without seasons
Where in storms, you come to test my every promise
Where in waves, you wash me and overcome my ways

You are love untold; you are the keeper of my thirsts
To belong here, to be quenched in your fresh liquids
I will smash the sky if I have to; I will give up the rain

Wreck and scatter this heart if you like, I will endure
I will gather the pieces and crawl to your waters still
Burn bridges and sink islands to drown even deeper

Because beside you, there is none more, none greater
In hills as in valleys; in the sun as in the rain, you flow
You remain plenty and faithful; a beautiful waterfall

Thanks @ebitularmbert for sharing such a nice poem. I really appreciate your work. Keep it up.

I am honored. Thank you. I still have a small audience reading my short stories and poems, but it is growing everyday. So you can imagine how grateful i am that you appreciate my work. Thanks again.

I see we belong to the same boat! We are all beginners/minnows. And might be having a number of questions on how to succeed here at steemit.

This article should be able to answer some of your questions as it answered some of mine. https://steemit.com/steemit/@miti/a-complete-guide-for-newcomers-and-minnows-to-avoid-a-possible-spam-and-to-write-good-comments.

Also, check out https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@okusarobert/is-your-reputation-still-at-25-or-thereabout-do-you-have-only-few-followers-this-post-will-help-them-grow

They are very informative articles which have been of great help to me.

There is also a great guide in @mitneb who dedicates much of her curation on newcomers with quality content.

I suggest you look her up to help promote your posts. Are you on steemit chat? If you are not, quickly register and message @mitneb directly. She is okay with it, and will pronto respond, and start to guide you

Also, Check out ocd-resteem. It is another place where you can promote this kind of quality posts. Here is a link to the article explaining more https://steemit.com/ocd-resteem/@ocd/ocd-introducing-ocd-resteem-get-resteemd-by-ocd.

Otherwise, thanks for taking time to read my poems. By the way they are many and you may find them here at @ebitularmbert.

Meanwhile, early today, i wrote two short stories, which i believe would benefit from exposure,

  1. https://steemit.com/story-300words/@ebitularmbert/unforgiven
  2. https://steemit.com/story-300words/@ebitularmbert/a-short-story-judgement-day

They are less than 300 words, and therefore a quick read. You may, if you can manage, look them up and share with me your opinion of them.

Thanks again. I am honored

@ebitularmbert Amazing work! this poem reminds me so much of my younger days.. way back in highschool days I used to be part of our school paper, we write poems, feature stories and news. I guess my confidence way back then were soaring high. But now I started to become very insecure with my writings. This is one of my reasons why I decided to join Steemit, thinking its a way for me to start practicing in a community who encourages quality work.

Sure enough. Steemit is an open platform where you have the freedom to write as you wish, and to share your work with out being judged. As a budding Poet/writer, such freedom allows to learn without fear, and to ultimately improve.

Moreover you are paid in the process! There is no greater incentive than that. I started very much like you. In my University, I edited the University Newsletter, and also ran a student's paper. basically my life was about poems and stories....and there i had audience.

After University however, came the insecurities, the financial requirements to advance in the writing career....Outside i was a novice. and i had no audience. The audience there was, was more familiar with the status quo already established. And would judge my works against theirs. How could i succeed?

But then came along Steemit. A ready audience. Now it is up to me to make my name. I am giving all the effort possible.

And i am beginning to make headway. You too will, soon enough. Just get to writing, and writing and sharing and engaging.

Thanks @aiza-juan-aweb

I am looking forward to sharing in your works here at steemit.
