WE LOST BUT WE ARE STILL WINNERS

Hello amazing steemians. Thank you all for checking my blog today again. Today i will be doing a short poem for my beloved country NIGERIA, despite their exit from the ongoing World Cup Tournament in Russia.

They were eliminated yesterday by a very strong team Argentina, though they fought so hard and tried their best, but their best couldn't stop them from exiting the tournament.

While watching the match, i saw the way our Nigeria team fought so hard to maintain the momentum. They never gave up until the final whitstle. As a result of that, i taught i should do a little poem and this poem was inspired by our National Anthem.

Nigeria's Call Obey
To serve our Father's Land
With Love and Strength and Faith

Arise O Compatriot, that's a DEMAND

Nigeria's Call Obey, a voice we ought to obey it's COMMAND

Green White Green, Nigeria my FATHERLAND

So much cultural heritage, it's our WONDERLAND

Food to eat is quit affordable, it's our FARMLAND

Giant of Africa, in everything good we are FIRSTHAND

I'm proudly a Nigerian, just as the wife is proud of her HUSBAND

Proudly Nigerian because we are like a tree planted by the RIVERSIDE

Proudly Nigerian because our leave is always green like the GRASSLAND

Our military men are always called for peace missions. Why? They know how to give the best COMMAND

We are not a people too proud to run an ERRAND

Even in football, our supporters have the best BAND

We are never tired to offer a helping HAND

A country so loved by God, no wonder we always OUTSTAND

The Richest Man in Africa is a Nigerian, please ALL-STAND

They say Oil is our only Revenue, No Sir! It's just one of our many BRANDS

Proudly Nigerian, If you are still sitted; Hey UP-STAND

So much to say but i hope with this few lines, you UNDERSTAND

I AM PROUD TO BE CALLED A NIGERIAN, HOPE YOU ARE
