Those fast cars

in poetry •  7 years ago

How they blitz down the road
I get so jealous
When they rev up on red
Some go lower than the curves
While others higher to the skies
All to accelerate to the speed of light:
A modified Honda tried to race me
After looking at my modesty
But I had already won
When I lightly tapped on green
While he jittered forward
To the empty road.
But just as I celebrated
This insignificant passing,
An F150 cut me bad,
Almost causing an accident.
