Sometimes the demon we be
Sometimes angels path we thread
There is no retreat and no surrender
Backing down seems like a great asunder.

Through the beauty of the summer
Or the frost of the icy winter
Steadily we stand, like a rock
Gasping, panting like our soul's demand.

Be we monsters we create
Or the devil we spawn
We are pencils in the hands of the artists we choose
Slowly, steadily, drawing our strokes till the end of close.

We are the gentlemen of times past
The men who feel the wrath of women
We are the gentle breeze in the storm
We are the ones after all the rubble's gone.

We are the product of life hard choices
We are a life long work in progress
Those who get us, get us
Tho who reject us are tossed aside.

We do not fail because we don't know how to
We are the guardians of the past, present and the future
We are life incarnate in a world so lifeless
We are love incarnate in a world so loveless.

We house the bitter sorrows of a disgruntled species
We know only how to forge ahead at a road block
We know only how to start when we see stop
We are the beauty of beauties and the complexity of complexities.

We are humans and we are alive!
