PART 1
Day 1
Babes, this week has been so boring o..
Olamide hissed as she faced Aisha and asked if she didn't have a place they could go to spend the weekend..
With an horrific look, Aisha responded with a groan.. You think if I have somewhere to go, I wouldn't have gone?
See olamide, leave me o
Ehn ehn.. Olamide, how far that your toaster wey dey always disturb you, Aisha asked and Olamide responded sharply..
mchew that broke nigga
The last time I went out with him on a date, he couldn't even afford shawarma..ordinary shawarma... You are now asking after him, I beg let him stay on his lane o.
Aisha heaved with downcast as she started to chat on her phone..Olamide soon joined as she also picked her phone and started to view her friends instagram updates.
Meanwhile, James Olamide's childhood friend who returned from Paris a week before plans to host a get together party at Ibadan and this had been a trending topic on social media but unfortunately Olamide hadn't been aware because she ran short of data days back.
Coincidentally, as she scrolled on Instagram she saw the post and to confirm she immediately chatted James up on whatsapp
Olamide: bf how far
James: swthrt I'm gud, How's u
Olamide: I'm not fyn o.
James: y
Olamide: u 4got me na, me ur luv
James: baby I didn't, I've been busy thats y
Olamide: hmm busy.. That u couldn't call abi
James: I'm sorry Dearie
Olamide: & u couldn't tell me u have a party
James: sorry baby u are invited
Olamide: b4 I 4giv u, u must send me tfare
James: anything 4 my baby
Olamide: u still have my acct num na..I'm waiting
James: will send it now
Few minutes later Olamide's phone beeps, a message from the bank..she checked and saw that James transferred 10k. She could not believe it, she wasn't really serious about the conversation with James o but anyways she was happy he sent it and she immediately messaged him to confirm that she had seen it.
Aisha on the other hand had seen olamide smiling and asked why she was smiling but she responded with a lie saying she saw a funny status online.
Within Olamide she said " money wey neva reach me transport myself go from Lagos to Ibadan and back, if I tell this witch she go wan tag along and she no get money "
Since it was a weekend party and today is Friday, she needs to start packing her clothes so she can leave very early on Saturday without Aisha her rummie knowing she said within her.
Day 2
(MORNING)
Saturday is here already and Olamide is packed to leave for her journey and inquisitive Aisha asked where she was going?
Since Olamide had it all figured out, she answered that her mum called her to come home for something really urgent.
The best answer to curb any more question.
She had already gotten the address from James when they chatted earlier so she immediately went to the park to get a bus going to Ibadan..
She sat in the bus for more than two hours and it still wasn't filled for them to commence on their journey.
It can be very frustrating to sit in a bus for hours when it has not even commenced its journey talkless of get filled and this made her impatient.
" I can't wait again o, I will go and stop those that are already moving" she said within her and so she did...
Within Minutes, she got a bus which she entered and the journey to Ibadan commenced..
The bus had moved for 30 minutes thereabout when someone from the back said with a huge voice.. you all should do what I say, resist and get your head blown off..
I looked back and saw a man in his early 30's pointing a gun at us..
I first thought he was the only one, till he spoke to the driver in yoruba to keep going that he got this covered and told us to drop our phones, jewelries, shoes and money in a big polythene bag given to us by another guy putting on black sun glasses sitting at the second role.
We all concured in fear of been shot and after the collection of everything, the driver stopped the bus and the man with the gun asked us all to get down which we all complied to then they drove off.
Immediately, everyone started wailing and shouting about what had just been stolen.
All I said was (Temi bamí)meaning I'm done for..
What would I do? I pondered as we tried to stop incoming vehicles.
One slowed down but didn't stop and it was the one I was initially supposed to board. On noticing me the passengers giggled as the bus passed.
With a frustrated look, I sat by the road not knowing what time it was but I could predict that it was almost afternoon since the sun was getting hotter..
Like God had heard my prayers, a bus with 3 passengers passed and as we waved it stopped and we all rushed to it.
After brief explanation of what occurred to the driver, he agreed to take us to our destination and we entered happily.
