21 seemed so
Ancient and wise
Through my
19 year old eyes
Fast forward
In a blink
Out the college gates
Falling face first
To the real world
So small, so frail
Little woman-girl
Twenties fly by
Wisdom never came
In a handy book of answers
Bearing my name
We all shrug
Try what we can
Learn as we go
Make better plans
Stop hoping for
That bolt from the blue
Every day is new.
